Jammu, January 15: Slamming the propaganda unleashed by the opposition parties in Inderwal constituency of Kishtwar District, Senior Congress leaders asserted that no government formation in Jammu and Kashmir was possible without Congress party while at centre adding that people of the country had already made its mind to pack the BJP and there alliance partners.

A press release issued here said that, while speaking at a function, JKPCC Vice President Ghulam Mohammad Saroori said that Congress party was committed for strengthening of Panchyat Raj Institution as per the aspirations and commitment of late Prime Minister Rajeev Gandhi who is the architect of PRI’s in India.

Saroori said that Sarpanches can play a vital role in monitoring and execution of developmental work at grassroot level added that the Sarpanches in his constituency will act as his hands and ears that can play equal role in mitigating the problems faced by the people in rural areas of the state like Inderwal, the press release added.

Terming NC and PDP of beating ‘hollow drums and propaganda’ about their success in Inderwal, the congress leader maintained that such statements were once again proved to be ‘mere rhetoric’. He said that people of Inderwal as well as state of Jammu and Kashmir will show PDP & BJP their respective places as both parties had left no stone unturned to ‘divide’ the people of Jammu and Kashmir on ‘communal and regional lines’ and cautioned the people about the ‘nefarious design’ of the BJP, PDP and NC. Senior Congress leader Sham Lal Sharma, Abdul Rashid Dar, Usman Majeed and Balbir Singh also addressed the newly elected Sarpanches.
