DE&CC Doda organises awareness program for unorganised workers

DODA, JANUARY 12: An awareness program was organized by District Employment and Counseling Center in collaboration with J&K EDI Doda here today.

The camp witnessed participation of around 300 people from far flung areas of the district who were apprised of the importance of registration for the people associated with unorganized sectors of the economy. The registration forms for the same were distributed among the participants under Unorganized Workers Social Security Scheme (UWSSS).

During the program, J&K EDI also informed the participants about various state and central sponsored entrepreneurial schemes.

Shayesta Sultana, Deputy Director Employment, emphasized the need for holding such programs on regular basis.

Officials from Social Welfare Department, Handicrafts Department and Handloom Department along with trainees and other social activists from the district attended the awareness camp.
