DC Kargil reviews arrangements for PRI members’ training

KARGIL, JANUARY 11: Deputy Commissioner and CEO, LAHDC, Kargil Vikas Kundal today reviewed the arrangements being put in place for imparting training to the newly elected Sarpanchs from January, 15 at Conference Hall Baroo, Kargil.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Sonam Chosjor, Assistant Commissioner Development Imteeaz Kacho, District Panchayat Officer Shabir Hussain, Executive Engineers of R&B, KDA and PDD besides other concerned officers attended the meeting.

Issues with regard to the venue of the training programme, training schedule, transportation, boarding and lodging of Sarpanchs besides other arrangements were discussed threadbare.

It was informed in the meeting that a training schedule has already been devised and the training shall be imparted in two phases.

The meeting was further informed that the batch of 49 newly elected Sarpanchs of Drass, Bhimbhat, Kargil, Sodh, Pashkum, Lotchum, Shargole and Zanskar blocks shall be imparted training during the 1st phase w.e.f; 15th January to 18th January, 2019 .

Moreover, in the 2nd phase training for another batch of 49 newly elected Sarpanchs in respect of Shakar, TSG, Sankoo, Barsoo, Tai Suru, Karsha and Lungnak blocks is scheduled is to be held from 19th to 22nd January, 2019.

The DC impressed upon the concerned officers to put in place all requisite arrangements well in time so as to ensure smooth conduct of the training programme.
