Srinagar, Jan 06: At least five people were injured, one of them critically, after a cab skidded off the road in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Sunday while as three more persons were injured in a road accident on Srinagar-Jammu highway in Ramban district.
Reports said that a taxi skidded off the road and rolled down into a stream in Tangibal area of Kalaroos resulting in injuries to five persons.
All the injured were taken to a nearby hospital wherefrom one critically injured person was referred to Srinagar for further treatment, a police official said.
He said a case has been registered and further investigation was taken up.
Three persons were also injured in a road accident in Ramban district, Sunday.
According to reports a cab carrying passengers on way to Kashmir Valley from Jammu skidded off the road near Magarkoot area of the Ramban.
The injured persons have been identified as Mohammad Akbar Mir, Ubaid Ahmad, residents of Zalangam, Kokernag in Anantnag district and Shabir Ahmad Khan, a resident of Magam, KokernagAnantnag.
