Project Director JKGGC reviews status of pending complaints

JAMMU, JANUARY 01: To ensure prompt redressal of grievances, Project Director J&K Governor’s Grievance Cell (JKGGC), Inam-ul-Haq Siddiqui, today chaired a meeting of nodal officers of various government departments to review the status of pending complaints received and forwarded by the Cell.

Nodal Officers of the departments including, Department of Culture Civil Secretariat, Cultural Academy Art & languages, Libraries & Research Department, Information & Public Relation Department were present in the meeting.

The meeting was informed that Department of Culture has received 14 grievances and disposed   one complaint, Culture Academy Art & Languages received nine grievances and disposed six, while as Information & Public Relation Department received 14 grievances and disposed eight of them, so far.

The Project Director asked the officers concerned with the functioning of the departmental Grievance Wing to ensure complaint/grievance redressal with a satisfactory response.

Nodal Officers of the concerned departments were exhorted to seriously contemplate on the issues reported by general public and coordinate citizen friendly solutions at their own level for quality disposal of genuine complaints and grievances forwarded from Governor’s Grievance Cell.

Inam-ul-Haq impressed upon the nodal officers to institutionalize the grievance redressal mechanism at the departmental level and upgrade the systems to cater to the pressing grievances and demands of people on fast track mode.
