CEC for speeding up allotment of land for Kargil Girls Hostel KARGIL DECEMBER 30: Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor, Ladakh Hill Development Council (LAHDC) – Kargil, Feroz Ahmed Khan on Saturday called on vice-chairman, Jammu Development Authority, (JDA) regarding construction of Kargil Girls Hostel at Jammu. The vice-chairman informed the CEC that formalities regarding handing over of five kanals of land at Sidhra to the LAHDC Kargil have almost been completed and it will be handed over very soon. The CEC underlined the need to establish the hostel on priority so as to pave way for provision of residential facilities for the girl students of Kargil studying in Jammu. Khan urged the JDA vice-chairman to complete the remaining formalities as early as possible and hand over the land so that construction work on the project could be started in the right earnest. The vice-chairman issued on spot directions to the concerned officers to hand over the land to the LAHDC, Kargil within 10 days after consultations with the revenue authorities. Meanwhile, the CEC said the Hill Council Kargil will pursue the case for arrangement of funds for the Girls Hostel project once the land is formally handed over.

The CEC underlined the need to establish the hostel on priority so as to pave way for provision of residential facilities for the girl students of Kargil studying in Jammu.  Khan urged the JDA vice-chairman to complete the remaining formalities as early as possible and hand over the land so that construction work on the project could be started in the right earnest.
