BANDIPORA, DECEMBER 26: Additional Deputy Commissioner Bandipora Zahoor Ahmad Mir today chaired District Level Review Committee (DLRC) meeting.

The meeting was attended by Lead District Manager Imtiyaz Ahmad Khan, LDO RBI Ram Kanwar, Director RSETI Abdul Rasheed Reshi, Cluster Head JK Bank (North) Parvez Ahmad, District Coordinators of all Banks, representatives of Govt. departments and other development agencies.

At the outset of the meeting, Lead District Manager Bandipora presented the overall achievements of the banks operating in the district under District Credit Plan 2018-19.

It was given out that all the banks operating in the District have extended credit aggregating to an amount of Rs. 158.05 crores under Priority Sector and Rs 121.15 crores under Non-Priority sector during the first quarter of the year 2018 – 19 up to Sep 2018, aggregating to total credit of Rs 279.20 crores. Officials said the banks register an achievement of 37 % in Priority sector and 59% in total.

The ADC stressed upon both banks as well as sponsoring agencies to play vital role in eradicating unemployment crisis of the district by achieving the set targets under various sectors for setting up income generating units. He also advised the financial institutions to sanction/disburse the cases strictly as per guide lines and in close co-ordination with sponsoring agencies.

The Potential Linked Credit Plan for year 2019-20 was unveiled in the function by DDM NABBARD. It was informed that Rs 468.87 crores were fixed as target for priority sector.

During the meeting, officials informed that RSETI has trained 4083 candidates out of which 3461 candidates have established their units and 1833 candidates have availed credit facility under different schemes from financial institutions. “893 trainees have also started their ventures with self finance,” officials informed.

The meeting further informed that RSETI Bandipora has conducted 30 awareness camps at different places of district especially in remotest blocks of Gurez and Tulail including Bagtore, Kanzalwan, Tarbal, Dawer, Wanpora, Markote, Achgoora, Churwan, Mastan, Purana Tulail, Jurnail, Badugam, Kilshay, Burnai and also in other blocks of Bandipora including Keema, Chapran, Arin, SK Bala, Ajas, Sumbal.
