Jammu, Dec 21: A house was partially destroyed here due to explosion, triggering panic among residents of the area, police said Friday.
No one was injured in the incident that took place at 12:30 AM in Gangyal belt of the city as the family was not present when the explosion took place, a police official said.
“Cooking gas cylinders in the house were ruled out from being the cause behind the blast as they were found intact,” Corporator of the Jammu Municipal Corporation said.
After receiving information, police teams reached the area and started investigating into the matter, he said.
A case has been registered in this regard and samples of material found on the explosion site have been collected, the official said, adding that the reason behind the explosion has not yet been ascertained.
