He said strong National Conference alone can meet challenges faced to the state. He urged the cadre to close their ranks for surmounting all the challenges.

“J&K is passing through difficult times and there is need for a collective effort to steer it to peace and tranquility by maintaining religious and regional unity”, Dr Kamal said while recalling the key role played by National Conference during most testing times in making a turnaround in the situation and instilling sense of security and safety among people. He also dwelt upon the party’s historical role during most turbulent times. “This spirit is needed to be invoked to ensure dignified and secured life for the people across the state”, he said adding that the youth have to play their crucial role in this regard.

Welcoming the new entrants, District President Doda and former minister Khalid Najeeb Suharwardy exuded confidence that with the joining of public-spirited and dedicated people, the party will become stronger at grass roots level.

“It is incumbent upon workers to reach out to the masses and highlight the policies and programmes of National Conference, which stands for unity and single entity of the State”, Suharwardhy said and hoped that the cadre will perform their designated role in bringing about harmony in the state.
