JAMMU, DECEMBER 19: Following the approval of the State Administrative Council (SAC) headed by Governor Satya Pal Malik for upgradation of five Sub-District Hospitals, the Government today issued formal orders for creation of 158 posts for these hospitals.

Pertinently, the SAC last week approved upgradation of Sub-District Hospitals of Ganderbal, Bandipora, Shopian, Samba and Reasi to the level of District hospitals along with creation of along with creation of 27, 23, 34, 35, and 39 posts respectively.

As per the orders issued by the Health & Medical Education Department today, the newly created posts for these hospitals include 5 Medical Superintendents, 5 Senior Consultant Physicians, 5 Senior Consultant Surgeons, 5 Consultant Surgeons,5 Consultant Ophthalmologists, 5 Consultant Physicians,4 Consultant ENT Specialists, 5 Consultant Anesthetists,5 Consultant Gynecologists,3 Consultant Pediatricians, 1 Dental Surgeon, 5 Consultant Orthopedic,5 Junior Anesthesia Assistants, 3 Senior X-ray Technicians,3 Junior Ophthalmic Technicians,1 Junior Lab Technician, 1 Junior Grade Nurse, 2 Supervisory Pharmacists, 3 Blood Bank Technicians, 2 Junior Dental Technicians, 2 Accounts Assistants, 1 Supervisory Dental, 5 ECG Technicians, 3 Senior Assistants, 18 FMPHWs, 5 Medical Record Technicians,5 Sectional Officers, 5 Head Assistants, 5 Statistical Assistants, 1 Junior Pharmacist, 3 Dental Boy,3 Jr Assistants,3 Electricians, 3 Junior Theatre Assistants, 7 Class IV/ Chowkidar, Safaiwala Lab/Theater Boy, 1 Driver and 15 Nursing Orderlies.

The department shall also update the relevant Recruitment Rules in consultation with the ARI and Trainings Department through H&ME Department, the order said.
