DC Kargil reviews arrangements for Republic Day celebration

KARGIL DECEMBER 15: Deputy Commissioner and CEO, LAHDC, Kargil Vikas Kundal today reviewed the arrangements for the celebration of Republic Day 2019 here at a meeting of concerned departments.

The meeting was attended by the Superintendent of Police Dr Vinod Kumar besides officials of Municipal Committee, Education, Cultural Academy, PHE, R&B, etc.

The Deputy Commissioner issued necessary directions with regard to the arrangements including snow clearance at the venue in case of snowfall, security, transport, sanitation, power and water supply, medicare facilities and other required arrangements.

The DC instructed the officers to put in place all necessary arrangements well in time so as to ensure successful celebration of the Republic Day.

It was decided that flag hoisting ceremony will be held at Khree Sultan Chow Sports Stadium followed by March past. The contingents of J&K Police, NCC and platoons of different Government and private educational institutions will participate in the march past.

Cultural programmes will also be presented by the artists of Cultural Academy and school children.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Commissioner directed the SDMs and Tehsildars of Sub Divisions, Tehsils and Niabats to put in place timely arrangements for the celebration of Republic Day in their respective jurisdictions.
