Raja Aijaz alleged the PDP had drifted off the path and had become a hub of insensitive people.

The former police officer, who retired as IGP, had joined PDP and contested polls on PDP mandate from Uri in 2014. He ended up runner up with almost 16,000 votes.

Aijaz, in his resignation, said that brought PDP’s vote tally from 500 to 16000 but his constituency was neglected by the party during its coalition regime.
