Bandipora admin holds training program for field staff

BANDIPORA, DECEMBER 13: The district administration Bandipora on Thursday organised a day-long refresher course for the field staff of the Revenue department associated with the digitization of land records.

The training program was inaugurated by ADC, Zahoor Ahmad Mir while Tehsildar Headquarters Mubashir Saleem Nazki and other senior officers of the district, besides field staff of the Revenue Department were also present on the occasion.

The staff was trained about the preparation of revenue record and settlement operations besides various other technicalities that are important in the process of digitization.

The ADC said the aim of digitization is to modernize management of land records, minimize the scope of land/property disputes, enhance transparency in the land records and facilitate guaranteed conclusive titles to immovable properties in the country.

He said the major component in the digitization include scanning and preservation of revenue documents, data entry of latest Jamabandi and updation with latest mutation records, besides digitization of maps with the latest data. He said the refresher course was organised for the capacity building of the field staff so that the process of digitization is completed smoothly and error free.

He said the government has hired the services of private firm RAM TECH Software India and assigned the job of scanning, computerization of various old revenue records besides settlement operations to the Agency.

Officials of the RAM TECH said that they are using satellite data processing for preparation of High Resolutions “Orthorectified Imagery” besides setting-up of statewide geodetic control network in line with national frame for survey reference.

On the occasion, Tehsildar Headquarters, Mubashir Saleem Nazki urged the staff to take maximum possible benefit of the training program so that the process of digitization is done smoothly and error free.
