BARAMULLA, DECEMBER 09: Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Dr Nasir Ahmad Naqash today convened a meeting with the representatives of recognized political parties of district Baramulla and others concerned to discuss issues with regard to special summary revision of electoral rolls 2018.
On the occasion, it was decided that the revised schedule for Special Summary Revision shall be extended to December 23, 2018, and the disposal of claims/ objections will be made up to 12th of January, 2019. The final publication of Electoral Rolls will be made on 22nd of January, 2019.
The meeting also deliberated upon various issues relating to final publication of electoral rolls during which the representatives appraised the DC about election related issues of their respective domains. They stressed for the inclusion of every eligible voter into the draft so that they can cast their democratic right.
Meanwhile, the DC assured them that not even a single eligible voter shall be left behind besides directing for nominating a Booth Level Agent (BLA) for the purpose. He also interacted with them and discussed various issues hampering the way of development.
