FC Housing & Urban Development chairs BoD meeting

SRINAGAR, DECEMBER 08: Financial Commissioner Housing and Urban Development Department, K B Agarwal today chaired the third Board of Directors (BOD) meeting of Srinagar Smart City Project.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Syed Abid Rasheed Shah, Inspector General of Police Kashmir Range S P Pani, VC Srinagar Development Authority Sajad Ahmad, Director Archives and Museums Muneer Ul Islam, Commissioner SMC Peerzadah Hafeezullah besides special invitees.

Director Sakhshar Bharat Mission Naveen K Agarwal joined the meeting through video conferencing.

During the meeting, threadbare discussions were made regarding projects taken under smart city program.

The meeting discussed beautification of Boulevard area by installing state of the art lighting, smart electric poles in old town areas, constructing bio-toilets within the peripheries of Dal lake besides installing intelligent traffic lighting system.

The proposals regarding restoration and preservation of heritage site Hariparbat Fort, smart surveillance system around Dal peripheries and setting up of the art museum and mono-rails under smart city project were also discussed.
