SRINAGAR, DECEMBER 06: A function ‘Yaadgar Day’ was organized by DIET Srinagar in collaboration with Chief Education Office, Srinagar at GHS Batamaloo.

Director School Education Kashmir, Dr. G.N. Itoo was chief guest on the occasion. Speaking during the event, Director said that the formulation of Eco-peace clubs which is the integration of Eco-club and heritage, in the schools is a welcome step and should be adopted in every school of the valley.

DSEK also appreciated the concept of celebration of Yaadgar Day for the students on the last day before commencement of vacations. DSEK was presented with ‘trackers’ by the teachers which were prepared by the teachers to track the behavioural and academic progress of the students.

In her address Principal DIET Srinagar, Naheed Neelofer appreciated the efforts of DRG’s of Srinagar for organizing such innovative programme. Principal DIET assured the parents of the students who were present on the occasion that this school which has been designated as District Lab school shall emerge as a model school by the efforts of the District Resource Persons.

On the occasion DSEK announced the establishment of CAL Lab and the development of Model KG centre in the school. DSEK also announced a cash prize for the students who presented various cultural programmes on the occasion depicting the culture and heritage of Kashmir.

Chief Education Officer Srinagar, Mudasir Kaleem Fazili also expressed his views on the occasion about the various facilities being provided by the Department to the students.

The function was also attended by DEPO Srinagar Ghulam Rasool Mir, HoDs of DIET Srinagar, Javaid Ahmad Shera, Amina Qadri and Moomina Qadir, Zonal Education Officer Batamaloo, Nusrat Jahan, Headmaster GHS Batamaloo, DRGs of District Srinagar, teachers, students and parents in large numbers.
