DDC Reasi inaugurates sports event, flags off students’ tour

REASI, DEC 06: Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Dr Sagar Dattatray Doifode today inaugurated a sports events here at Katraand flagged off a group of students for national tour.

The DC Dattatray inaugurated Inter-divisional Kho-Kho tournament at the Sports Stadium Katra, organised by the District Youth Services & Youth Services Department.

Director SMVD Shrine Board Sports Stadium, Ashok Kumar, District Youth Services and Sports Officer Reasi, Sudesh Kumar and the Chief Education Officer Reasi, Nirmal Choudhary were also part of the event. The DC stressed on organizing more such events across the district.

Meanwhile, the DDC flagged off a 15-day ‘Watan Ko Jano’ youth exchange tour from the district headquarters. Group of 11 children from Bal Ashram, Mahore are part of the tour. During the tour sponsored by the Department of Social Welfare, the children will visit various places at Lucknow and Delhi. The tour was flagged off in presence of District Social Welfare Officer, Gulshan Kumar and is an initiative of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India.
