Senior advocate Ghulam Mohi-ud-din alias Zehanpori passed away

Baramulla, Nov 28: Senior advocate and lawyer Ghulam Mohi-ud-din Wani alias Mohi-ud-din Zehanpori passed away on Wednesday after brief illness.

Large number of people participated in the funeral prayers of the deceased at his Dewanbagh and Zehanpora residence besides people from cross sections of society including socio-economic, political and religious organizations have expressed their condolences and solidarity with bereaved family.

“The noted lawyer was bold and upright and attended Baramulla district court till his last day. He was clear-headed, fearless lawyer who led the bar by example,” said president Bar Association Baramulla Advocate Abdul Salam Rather while highlighting the life and contribution of slain lawyer.

Advocate Zehanpori was accomplice of Mirza Mohammad Afzal  Beg in 1975.

Baramulla Working Journalist Association led by Chairman Haji Karamat Qayoom and President Zargar Gulzar Ahmed also participated in the funeral prayers and went to Zehnpora residence to express solidarity with bereaved family.

Principal Session Judge Raja Shujat Ali of Bjihama, National Conference Leader Mohmmad Shafi Uri and Dr. Sajad Shafi, PDP Senior leader Raja Ajaz Ali , Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) Vice President and MLC G N Monga also condoled the demise of Wani and expressed condolences with the bereaved family.
