Atal Dulloo chairs executive meeting of AYUSH Society

JAMMU, NOVEMBER: Principal Secretary, Health and Medical Education Department, Atal Dulloo chaired an Executive Committee meeting of State AYUSH Society under National AYUSH Mission (NAM), J&K here today.

In the meeting, threadbare issues were discussed which include the approval received from Ministry of AYUSH Government of India for state annual action plan for the year 2018-19, submission of utilization certificates under National AYUSH Mission and erstwhile centrally sponsored schemes, and hiring of manpower under National AYUSH Mission.

Dulloo laid emphasis upon the integrative approach of National Health Mission (NHM) and National AYUSH Mission (NAM) towards providing better health care services to the society at large and filling the existing gaps in health sector and also to provide choice of treatment to patients.

He asked the concerned authorities for completion of process of recruitments against vacant posts immediately for providing better medical services to the people. He also stressed to notify the trained drug inspectors and send their proposals for getting their services for the betterment of NAM in the state.

Dulloo asked for submission of utilization certificate by 10th December positively failing which strict action will be taken against defaulters.

Other important issues discussed in the meeting includes identification of implementing agency for medicinal plants components, nomination of Mission Director and divisional nodal officers NAM for effective implementation of the scheme, quality control of ASU&H drugs and enhancement in the monthly remuneration of State HMIS Manager, NAM.

The meeting was attended by Advisor Ministry of AYUSH GoI, Dr. Suresh Kumar, Mission Director National Health Mission Bhupinder Kumar, Director ISM, Dr. Phuntsog Angchuk, Director Finance, Rafiq Ahmed, Joint Director P&S, Madan Lal, Controller Drug and Food Control Organisation, Dr. Lotika Khjuria, representatives from Finance and Planning Department and the officers of Directorate General of Indian Systems of Medicine, Jammu.
