Srinagar, Nov 21: Former Chief Minister and President Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Mehbooba Mufti on Tuesday greeted people on the eve of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (SAW).

In her message on the occasion, the PDP President said the Prophet (SAW) taught lessons of compassion, mercy, tolerance and brotherhood to the humanity-all of which need to be vigorously inculcated in today’s strife infested world.

She added that amongst all the great gifts bestowed upon the mankind by Allah, the birth of Prophet (SAW) was greatest and the kindest one. “Almighty Allah sent Prophet (SAW) as Rehmatal-lil-Alimeen (mercy to the mankind). People irrespective of cast colour and religion can seek guidance from the holy Prophet’s (SAW) teachings as he had tremendous love for humanity in general and compassion for poor and needy in particular.

Mehbooba said she prays to Almighty Allah to reignite peoples’ hearts and souls with the love of the Prophet (SAW) of Islam.
