The protesting NC women workers amid slogans like “Governor Era dark era, improve power system in Kashmir” accused the Governor administration of leaving entire population fumbling in the wake of hour’s long unscheduled power cuts.

They alleged that Governor’s tall claims of providing uninterrupted power supply during winters proved hoax as entire valley has been reeling under complete darkness ever since Darbar moved to winter capital.

The agitating NC workers before culminating their protest sat on a dharna near TRC demanding uninterrupted power supply in both metered and non-metered areas.

Talking to reporters, NC Women’s wing President, Shameema Firdous said despite paying electricity bills on time people witness hardships in winters due to unscheduled power cuts.

“People always face problems during winters in the wake of spontaneous power cuts. Students who undergo various exams are the worst sufferer of government’s failure to provide adequate power supply to consumers,” she added.

MLA Habbakadal further said a mega rally will be organized in case the government fails to improve power system in Kashmir valley.
