I&C Deptt launches single window clearance portal

Srinagar, November 16: A Single Widow Clearance portal was launched by the Directorate of Industries and Commerce at Industrial Estate Shalteng here Wednesday to promote trade and improve Ease of Doing Business.

The workshop was aimed at creating awareness regarding the “integrated” online process among existing and new entrepreneurs of the valley thorough PowerPoint presentation.

Existing business unit holders and startups from different parts of the valley attended the workshop and apprised the concerned about the problems they face in the wake sparse facilities by the government.

“Today we launched the Single Window Clearance portal for new entrepreneurs who wish to establish their own business units. Existing unit holders can also avail benefits from the online web portal without roaming from one department to the other to get their work done,” Amir Reshi, Senior Consultant at Young India Entrepreneurs told ‘Kashmir Images’.

He said through integrated portal, the unit holders can now submit their documents online without roaming from one office to another.

Reshi said obtaining NOc’s submitting power and water connection forms will now be much easier for the businessmen through online system.

“A unit holder can now submit documents through this hassle free online system. They will also be able to check the status of the documents besides clearing bills and obtaining NOC’s,” he added.

He said the Department of Industries and Commerce in collaboration with Directorate of Industries and Policy Promotion (DIPP) launched the web portal.

Reshi said the workshop titled Ease of Doing Business was organised to guide new entrepreneurs to set up their own business units in Kashmir valley. He said both startups and existing business unit holders can avail the benefits of the online web portal.
