Two militants killed in Handwara gunfight

Pulwama November 10: Two militants were killed in Tiken village of south kashmir’s Pulwama district after gunfight broke out between militants and security Forces on Saturday morning,

Reports said that a joint team of army’s 55RR, 180/183 BN CRPF and SOG cordoned off Tikken area after getting specific information about presence of some militants in the area.

As the joint team of forces approached the suspected spot the hiding militants fired upon goverment forces triggering an encounter.

A senior Police official said that contact was established with the hiding militants and exchange of firing is going on.

As per sources two militants are believed to be killed in the encounter. Both the slian militants have not been identified so far.

Meanwhile, search operation is still going on in the area, sources added.
