ANANTNAG, NOVEMBER 09: District Development Commissioner Anantnag, Mohammad Younis Malik, today convened a meeting to review the progress under Pradhan Mantri AwazYojna (PMAY) Gramin in the district.
The DDC stressed upon the Rural Development Department officers to further accelerate the pace of implementation of the scheme, so that poor and deserving people could be benefitted.
He stressed that all the under-construction houses under the PMAY Gramin must be completed within the stipulated time period. The DDC directed that left out deserving BPL beneficiaries be identified in a transparent manner, as per socio-economic caste census 2011, so that they could be brought under the ambit of the Yojna and can avail housing facility.
On the occasion, ACD Anantnag informed the meeting that the department has 2368 registered beneficiaries till date and has 2099 sanctioned cases of verified accounts, and an amount of Rs 1781.30 lakh stands released through DBT.
