Ganderbal, Nov 09: Jammu and Kashmir People’s Party (I) candidate Advocate Altaf Ganderbali was Friday elected chairman of Municipal Committee (MC) Ganderbal.
Meanwhile, Sajad Ahmad of Congress party was elected vice-chairman of MC Ganderbal town.
Ganderbali defeated Mir Majid of BJP. Ten counselors out of 17 of MC Ganderbal voted in favour of Altaf Ganderbali , while as Majid got 7 votes.
JKPP (I) was supported by two councilors of Congress.
Speaking to Kashmir Images Advocate Altaf said that councilord have shown faith in him and he will do his best to work for the betterment of Ganderbal town. “Municipal Committee Ganderbal need reforms and with the support of Councilors I will strive hard to deliver make the town better,” he added.
