“The dogs attacked everyone,” said an injured Abdul Rashid.  All the injured were taken to District Hospital Baramulla for treatment, he said.

Medical Superintendent, District hospital Baramulla, Dr Masood confirmed to Kashmir Images that 50 injured people were brought to district hospital and they were given proper vaccination and treatment.

“We received fifty persons with injuries on nose, legs and arms. All the injured were given first aid besides anti-rabies vaccine and after keeping them under observation for some time, they were discharged from the hospital,” he said.

Brushing aside the reports and rumors that there was no anti- rabies vaccine available in the hospital, Dr Masood said there is no shortage of vaccine and all the patients were provided the necessary medication

Meanwhile, people have urged health authorities to take immediate measures to check the menace of stray dogs which has created horror in the town as particularly students, children and women fear for their lives.
