JAMMU, NOVEMBER 5:  Director, Directorate of Information & Public Relations (DIPR) Tariq Ahmad Zargar today inspected DIPR office complex and took stock of the functioning of the department as it reopened here in the winter capital.

Joint Director Information, Jammu Naresh Kumar, Deputy Director, (AV) Rakesh Dubey, Deputy Director, (Central) Parveen Kumar, Deputy Director (PR), Jammu Meenakshi Vaid, Deputy Director, (Hqtr) Jammu, Priyanka Bhat and other officers of the department accompanied the Director during the inspection.

The Director went round various wings of Directorate and Joint Director office Jammu and interacted with the staff.    He directed the concerned for proper upkeep and maintenance of official records with suitable available technological interventions for easy tracking of files and records.

Later, the Director chaired a meeting received first-hand appraisal of the functioning of various wings from the respective heads.

Stressing on the need for better human resource management and further strengthening of infrastructure in the department, Zargar said it is imperative for proper functioning of department and ensuring timely dissemination of information with regard to government Schemes and programmes.

Reviewing the functioning of Advertisement section, the Director directed the concerned for uploading advertisements sent for publication on weekly basis on departmental website for ready reference. He said that staff strength in the section would be increased so that bills of published advertisements are verified timely and payments are made accordingly. He said that the issues, if any, with regard to shortage of staff and others   would be redressed on priority.
