SRINAGAR, NOVEMBER 04: Advisor to Governor, B B Vyas today directed the Divisional Administration Kashmir to ensure that people do not face any inconvenience in view of the untimely snowfall.

He also directed the Commissioner PDD to ensure restoration of electricity on war footing basis as has been directed by the Governor. The Advisor said that every effort should be made to restore electricity in all affected areas. He said that Government is closely watching the situation and every possible help will be provided to all the departments so that the restoration work is done smoothly and in an expedited manner.

The Advisor while taking stock of the situation said that the restoration of electricity in all priority sectors including Health Care institutes have been restored and the heating system has also been started . He said that the directions have already been passed to the Commissioner Secretary power to remain stationed in the valley till the power is restored fully and the officials should personally monitor the situation and ensure that people do not suffer on account of deficit of any service in this inclement weather.

The Advisor directed the officials to remain cautious and respond to any situation in a speedy manner. He said that any laxity in the matter would be viewed seriously and appropriate action taken against the erring ones.
