Srinagar: Two militants were killed after a gunfight broke out between militants and government forces in Zugoo Arizal area of Central Kashmir’s Budgam district early morning on Thursday.
Reports said that a joint team of army’s 53RR, SOG and CRPF laid a siege around Zugoo, Arizal after having credible input about presence of some militants in the area.
While the searches were intensified towards a particular house suspected militants hiding there fired upon forces triggering an encounter.
A senior police official said that two militants have been killed along with two weapons recovered however their identity is yet to be ascertained.
