Pulwama, Oct 30: District administration Pulwama started a Whatsapp group namely e-district under under e-governance initiative on Tuesday here.
According to the district administration officials, the group will ensure timely submission and compliance of requisite information, enforcement and regulation of relevant laws and statutes affecting daily life, submission of verification reports, implementation of PSGA (Public Service Guarantee Act), submission of daily attendance, monitoring and mile stoning of flagship programmes obliging of instructions and directions, and tagged officer shall comply and report in the record time.
Speaking on the occasion Deputy Commissioner Pulwama, Gh Mohammad Dar said, “With the birth of Information Technology, the concept of governance has been over simplified and an important step towards good governance and responsive administration is simplification of process and procedures in the government to make entire administration efficient and effective.”
District Information officer Pulwama, Tahir Magray said, said: “Internet revolution is bridging gap between common masses and government officials and the revolution of social media is not only an element of caution and challenge for the transparency of government but also a delegated factor of Suo Moto of vigilance among the common people.”
