KUPWARA, OCTOBER 30: A day-long awareness-cum-distribution camp was held here under the chairmanship of District Development Commissioner Kupwara, Khalid Jahangir during which motorized tricycles were provided to the beneficiaries.
The camp was organized by District Social Welfare Officer Kupwara. Besides other officers, a good number of people also participated in the camp.
The participants, on the occasion, were imparted awareness about the welfare schemes in vogue with the department and the ways and means to avail them for timely benefits.
The DDC urged the people to avail benefits of the various Central and State sponsored schemes. He also directed the concerned officers to settle pending cases and also identify uncovered deserving beneficiaries so that programmes and schemes meant for the betterment of people serve their true purpose.
During the camp, 14 beneficiaries hailing from Sogam, Diver Anderbugh, Ahgam, Dahama, Handwara, Amargarh Villgam, Shahnagri Langate, Qalamabad Mawar, Dragar Karnah, Michayan Karnah and other villages were provided motorized tricycles.
