KARGIL, OCTOBER 29: Chairman/Chief Executive Councilor LAHDC, Kargil Feroz Khan along with Deputy Commissioner Kargil, Vikas Kundal today visited Hussani Park/Qatilgah and took stock of the arrangements being made by the district administration for ensuing Chehlum processions and congregations to be held across Kargil Town and other areas of the district.

A team of senior officers of district administration accompanied the CEC during the tour.

The DC was satisfied over the arrangements; however he asked the concerned to ensure cleanliness in and around the Hussani Park, Qatilgha and all religious Imam Bara’s besides ensuring of proper sanitation of roads from where procession will pass. He also asked the Information Department to ensure installation of Public Address System well in advance.

The DC directed the police authorities to ensure proper security and traffic management during the day. He also asked the PHE Department to ensure proper arrangements for adequate drinking water facilities.

The Deputy Commissioner called for close coordination between the religious organization and the concerned department so that all possible service delivery can be ensured during observance of Chehlum.

Chief Executive Councillor also visited Islamia School Kargil to take stock of the arrangement being made by the district administration for ensuring the Chehlum processions. Executive Councillor for heath Zakir Hussain, Deputy Commissioner Kargil Vikas Kundal, SS P Kargil Dr. Vonad Kumar and other Senior Officers were also present.
