The LGD is one of the applications developed by the Ministry of Rural Development as a part of Panchayat Enterprise Suite (PES) under e-Panchayat Mission Mode project. The PES consists of 11 software applications such as LGD, Plan Plan, Action Soft, mAction Soft etc.

This will enable officials to upload GPDP Plans on Plan Plus so that information about plans will be available in the public domain.

“LGD defines the basic structure, set up of local governments. LGD captures all the details of local governments and assigns a unique code. This a basic structuring application for mapping villages with panchayats and panchayats with concerned blocks,” the Secretary said.
