Principal Secy Health chairs 4th BoD JKMSCL meet

SRINAGAR, OCTOBER 25: Principal Secretary Health and Medical Education, Atal Dulloo today chaired the fourth Board of Directors meeting of Jammu and Kashmir Medical Supplies Corporation Limited (JKMSCL) here.

JKMSCL is a fully owned company of Government of J&K, established for procurement of drugs, medicines and medical equipment, etc in the State of Jammu and Kashmir for the Department of Health and Medical Education and other Health institutions.

During the meeting, Managing Director (MD), JKMSCL J&K gave the detailed presentation about the functioning of the Corporation. During the meeting, the MD also provided the status report of the corporation upto September 2018 with regards to its achievements.

He also informed the meeting about various financial implications and issues faced by the corporation with regards to the infrastructure and human resource.

The chairman JKMSCL Atal Dulloo was informed about the various decisions taken during the third Board of Directors meeting and their implementations. The Chairman gave on spot directions for certain decisions which are yet to be implemented.

Asking the Finance Department to bring a better change in fund flow to the corporation Atal Dulloo said that the Corporation holds the greater significance in the Health sector in the state.

He impressed on the concerned officials to ensure availability of adequate quantity of medicine in the hospitals so that the patients do not have to run from pillar to post to get the same. He directed for maintaining the quality and standards of medicine provided to patients, adding the supplies should be tested before getting used by patients.

The Chairman JKMSCL also reviewed the ware housing and storage capacity of the Corporation in the State.

The meeting was attended by Director, Health Services Kashmir; Director, Health Services Jammu; Managing Director, JKMSCL, J&K; Principal, GMC, Srinagar; Principal, GDC, Srinagar; Principal, GDC, Jammu; Director Indian System of Medicines, J&K; Director, Family Welfare, MCH Immunization, J&K; Mission Director, National Health Mission, J&K; Controller, Drug and Food Control Organization, J&K; General Manager, JKMSCL, Kashmir; General Manager, JKMSCL, Jammu; Financial Advisor, JKMSCL; the representatives of Finance Department, Planning and Development Department and GMC Jammu.
