BANDIPORA, OCTOBER 23: A market checking team of Legal Metrology Department (LMD) Bandipora, today penalized a gas agency at Ajas here for violating various provisions of the Legal Metrology laws.
During the inspection, a fine of Rs 4000 was also realized from the erring trader and a case was also registered against him.
Assistant Controller Legal Metrology said that the drive will continue till black marketing, profiteering and other market malpractices are curbed.
Meanwhile, a checking squad of Food Safety inspected markets at Quil and Quilmuqam Bandipora during which huge quantities of expired food and other rotten items were destroyed.
