SKUAST Wadoora students protest against Kulgam civilian killings

Sopore, Oct 22: Students of Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology (SKUAST), Wadoora Sopore staged a protest demonstration against Kulgam civilian killings on Monday here.

According to local reports, scores of students assembled in the premises of the University and shouted anti-government and pro-freedom slogans against the civilian killings in Kulgam and later the students held a peaceful protest in the University campus to condemn the killings and express solidarity with the bereaved families.

It is pertinent to mention that on Sunday seven persons were killed while as more than 40 civilians were injured in a blast near an encounter site at Laroo village of Kulgam. Earlier, three local militants of Jaish-e-Mohammad outfit were killed in a gunfight at the same village.
