Sanga Eleven lifts title of Zaingair Cricket Championship Magraypora

Sopore, Oct 21: Sanga eleven won the final of ‘Zaingair Cricket Championship Magraypora’ that was played at sports ground Magraypora Botingoo zaingair on Sunday.

The final match of the tournament that was played between Sanga Eleven and Star Eleven Sopore was witnessed by hundreds of spectators.

While batting first, Sanga Eleven scored 163 runs in allotted 20 overs with all rounder Mohammad Shafi scoring brilliant 40 runs. Chasing the target, Star Eleven Sopore managed to score only 133 runs and thereby Sanga Eleven won by 30 runs.

Zubair Ahmad was awarded Man of the match, while as Muhammad Shafi of Sanga Eleven was given man of the tournament award.

On the occasion, a renowned social and sports activists of Zaingair Sopore, Irfan Dilawar bhat, was the Chief Guest who felicitated both the teams and distributed prizes among them.

While speaking at the presentation ceremony Butt urged youth to introduce sports as an inseparable part in their lives. “Sports is a panacea for depression,” he added.
