Champions Trophy Langate: LCC Langate defeats Bangus Riders, wins final

Langate, Oct 22: The final match of Champions Trophy Langate concluded today as its final match was played between LCC LANGATE and BANGUS-X1. The Champions Trophy Langate was held at Langate sports ground in Kupwara.

After winning the toss, bating first LCC LANGATE put a formidable total of 241 on the board in 20 overs. Opener batsman Jaleel Ahmad scored 142 unbeaten and Irfan Ahmad scored 31 runs and both them were the main contributors to the scoreboard of LCC. For BANGUS-X1 Showket took two wickets.

In pursuit of 242 runs, Bangus-X1 was never in the hunt as they lost wickets at regular intervals. None of their batsmen was able to put a decent show with the willow and the entire team was bundled out for 181 runs.

It was a thrilling competition between the two opponents. LCC lastly defeated its rival BANGUS RIDERS by 60 runs.

The occasion was graced by many respected citizens & people from civil society, including, Ishaq Ahmad Dar Azad Ahmad Bhat, Mohammad Iqbal Qureshi, Firdous Ahmad Bhat and by some media professionals.

Champions Trophy Langate was organised by Javid Ahmad Bhat and Tajamul Islam.

The winner’s were honored with trophy and cash prize. Best catch of tournament was given to Bilal Ahmad, Mohd Dilawar man of the series, while as Jaleel Ahmad was honored with man of the match.
