Dr. Farooq, Omar Abdullah express shock, grief over Bukhari’s killing

Srinagar, 20 October 2018: National Conference (NC) President Dr. Farooq Abdullah and Vice President Omar Abdullah on Saturday expressed profound grief and sorrow over the loss of lives in a tragic train accident near Amritsar in Punjab.

In a statement issued here, the two senior NC leaders expressed solidarity with the bereaved families while praying for peace to the departed souls and for strength to the families to bear the loss.

“The leaders also prayed for early recovery of those injured in the tragic accident,” reads the statement.

“Meanwhile Party President Dr. Farooq Abdullah visited the residence of NC veteran Late Ghulam Rasssol Bhat Jammal at Srigufwara, Pahalgam and offered condolences with the bereaved family. He was accompanied by MLA Pahalgam Altaf Kaloo, MLA Homshalibugh Ab Majeed Bhat, NC Zone president Dr Bashir Veeri, ex MLA Ab Kabir Pathan and Ghulam Nabi Bhat Adigami,” it said.
