Srinagar: A 22-year-old youth died on Thursday morning after he slipped and rolled down into a deep gorge in Keran area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.

A police official said that the youth Shakir Hussain Gojer son of Zakir Hussain Gojer of Kundian village was collecting grass for their cattle today morning when he suddenly slipped and fell down into a gorge near Khoodia village along Line of Control (LoC).

In the incident, the youth sustained serious injuries and was immediately shifted to sub-district hospital Kupwara in an unconscious state, the officer said.

However, doctors present there declared him brought dead, he said. (GNS)
