SRINAGAR, OCTOBER 15: On the intervening night of 13th and 14th of October 2018 at around 2.00 AM, Range Officer Naihari Range alongwith his team acting on a specific input seized one load carrier bearing registration No. JK019A-1861 wherein outturn of one deodar green tree illicitly felled by unknown smugglers was being loaded. The smugglers on sighting the staff escaped from the scene taking advantage of darkness leaving behind vehicle loaded with two logs = 24 Cft and remaining stuff (07 logs= 65 Cft) scattered on ground.
The vehicle was seized and then brought to seizure depot at Trehgam (Naihari Range office Hqs) under cover of Form-25 No.0084739 dated: -14-10-2018.
A forest damage / case has been registered in Range office Naihari Range and further investigations have been taken up to trace the damage doers. The confiscation proceedings have been initiated by the authorized officer (DFO Kehmil).
