October 13: On the directions of DGP Dilbag Singh (IPS), a Departmental Promotion Committee met under the chairmanship of Swayam Prakash Pani (IPS), IGP Kashmir Zone, for promotion of Assistant Sub-Inspectors to the rank of Sub-Inspectors of Executive Wing of J&K Police having lien and seniority with Kashmir Zone.

The DPC cleared promotion cases of 135 Assistant Sub-Inspectors and promoted them to the rank of Sub-Inspectors.
