SRINAGAR, OCTOBER 12: Commissioner Secretary Forest, Ecology and Environment, Manoj Dwivedi, today called on Governor Satya Pal Malik at Raj Bhavan.

During the meetings, discussions were held regarding the on-ground progress made by the department in implementation of schemes and projects.

Dwivedi briefed the Governor on the afforestation efforts being undertaken in the state for protection and preservation of the state’s green resources. They also held discussions on efforts towards conservation of biodiversity, soil and water conservation besides the steps taken to curb environmental pollution in the state.

Governor stressed for focused efforts for enhancing and maintaining state’s forest cover and rich bio-diversity by employing latest innovative technologies available.
