KISHTWAR, OCTOBER 08: Legal Metrology department (LMD) authorities have booked a flour Mill for supplying less Atta in 10 kg Bags and a Haryana based Oil Mill for violating declaration norms of Legal Metrology Act.
Both the units were issued show cause notices to explain their positions. They pleaded for composition of cases departmentally rather than sending them to court of law.
Asst. Controller LMD Kishtwar compounded the cases for Rs. 18000 after taking an undertaking from the mills not to repeat the offences in future.
