Srinagar, Oct 08: Clashes erupted in Bagh-e-Mehtab and Machoo area of Srinagar during the municipal polls on Monday.
Reports said that youth took to streets amid a complete shutdown and pelted stones at the government forces deployed near railway bridge.
They said the forces responded by firing teargas shells, triggering further clashes, which continued for some time.
