Srinagar, October 6: Peoples Conference chairman, former Minister and MLA Handwara, Sajad Gani Lone today met Governor Satya Pal Malik at the Raj Bhavan here today.
A communiqué issued from Raj Bhavan said that Lone briefed Governor about the ongoing schemes in his constituency and projected certain demands for the balanced development of his constituency.
Governor and Lone discussed about the upcoming elections to the Municipalities and Panchayats and their crucial importance in empowering people to take decisions regarding development of their villages and towns.
Governor assured due consideration of the issues referred to by Lone and urged him to continue his efforts for promoting a peaceful environment in his area and work zealously for advancing the interests of youth by providing them adequate opportunities in the arenas of sports and extracurricular activities.
