ULB Polls: CEO issues alternative documents list for voter identification

SRINAGAR, OCTOBER 05: Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), J&K, ShaleenKabra today issued a detailed list of alternative documents other than Electoral Photo ID Card (EPIC) for voter identification for upcoming Urban Local Body (ULB) polls.

He said the documents allowed for identification of voters at the polling stations during the ensuing ULB polls other than EPICs are: Passport, Driving License, Service Identity Card issued to its employees by State/Central Government, Public Sector Undertakings, Local Bodies, Public Limited Companies, Bank/Post office passbooks with photographs, Income Tax Identity (PAN) Card, Aadhaar Card, Smartcard issued by RGI under NPR

Besides, MNREGA job cards issued in J&K State, Health insurance Smart card issued under the scheme of Ministry of Labour, Pension Documents such as ex-servicemen’s pension payment order, Ex-servicemen’s widow/Dependent Certificates, Old Age pension order and Widow Pension order with photographs, and Voter Slip issued by Election Authority are valid alternative documents.

Municipal Elections: Poll timing from 7 am to 4 pm

SRINAGAR, OCTOBER 05: The Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), J&K, Shaleen Kabra said the polling timing for the Phase-II of Municipal Polls-2018, if necessary, shall be from 7.00 am to 4.00 pm.
