SRINAGAR, OCTOBER 05: Advisor to Governor, K Vijay Kumar today felicitated Asian Games Bronze medalist Wushu player, Surya Bhanu Pratap Singh at Civil Secretariat.
Kuldeep Handoo, Chief Coach of India Wushu was also present on the occasion.
The Advisor presented a memento to the young wushu player and congratulated him for his medal winning performance in Asian games held at Jakarta-Palembang (Indonesia). He also wished him good luck for the upcoming events and asked him do hard for converting bronze into the gold next time.
K Vijay Kumar also lauded the efforts of his coach, Kuldeep Handoo who played an instrumental role in preparing Bhanu Pratap Singh for the games and winning bronze medal.
He said that to recognize the outstanding achievement of Surya Bhanu Pratap Singh, the proposal of his elevation to the post of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), recommended by the police department is under active consideration of the government.
