Baramulla: A bike rider died after his speeding bike hit a shop at Behnipora Rajwar Handwara.

The slain boy sustained critical injuries and was rushed to District Hospital Handwara where doctors declared him brought dead.

The deceased was identified as Ishfaq Ahmad Shiekh resident of Satkoji  Handwara.

Meanwhile, a youth was crushed to death by a speeding vehicle at Singpora Pattan on Friday evening.

Witness said a speedy vehicle bearing number JKO5F 3531 crushed an 11th class student to death at Singpora Pattan.

The slain youth was rushed to hospital where doctors declared him brought dead. The deceased was identified as Nayeem Ahmed Bhat son of Late Abdul Ganai Bhat of Darveshbagh Pattan.

Police has taken cognizance and search is on to trace the driver.
