Poonch: A youth who was presumed dead nearly six months ago returned home, safe and sound, in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday.
According to reports, Mohammad Muzamil went missing from his home in Qasab village in Mendhar area six months ago. Following his disappereance, Railway Police officials had found a semi-decomposed body on the railway tracks in Vijaypur area of Jammu on March 9, which was mistakenly claimed by Muzamil’s family as his dead body.
However, to the utter surprise of the family, Muzamil contacted his mother a few days ago and then finally returned home on Friday.
Meanwhile,the identity of the dead person who was mistaken as Muzamil is yet to be known.
